About Us
In most schools, Science Olympiad is comprised of just a team that competes at the annual Science Olympiad competition. But here at Diamond Bar High School, the Science Olympiad club not only participates in the Science Olympiad competition, but also provides students, both those who made it and did not make it onto the Science Olympiad Team, with the opportunity to explore science further than just in their science classes.
Under our adviser, Mrs. Hebert, we do multiple lab activities during lunch, give various lectures on the different events from Science Olympiad, and even participate in the Google Science Fair.
As for the Science Olympiad competition, Science Olympiad is a National Competition where students compete as a team in about 23 events, testing their scientific knowledge and aiming for the top. Most events are made of a two person team, though some are three persons.
Regionals is held at Occidental College and State is held at Canyon High School in Anaheim.
Our coaches are Mrs. Hebert, Mr. Marquez, and Mr. Goya. Our team consists of 17 students, 15 competitors and 2 alternates, with a maximum of 7 seniors.
